Headstock decal and pinstriping information

Getting ready for paint and wondering what the proper headstock decal looked like for the 101 and where something like that might be obtained.   Also, has anyone ever taken measurements on the what the width of the pinstripe should be, how far from the edge of the fender, etc.?

Attached is a picture of the headstock decal that is on my 101 - not sure if it is correct or not.

    Thanks,

    Bill Erickson

Don't think they originally had a headstock decal Bill, was on earlier bikes.

    Pinstripe is 1/16th inch.

Some guide for striping can be found in the R&O. A few lucky club members have survivors, original paint bikes, or parts. Some stripe variations can be found on exported bikes.  White tank panels can be found even as early as -28 but became more common in -30. The striping changed in width and colour in -31.

The headstock decal has a part number in the parts book for the 101 (and I think same P. number for the Chief) but it has yet to be seen on any of the 101 or Chief survivors. You can try to research if it is same P. No on the PP.
