New member looking for Indian Scout project; 101 preferred but might be interested in earlier or later Scout. I’m enthused with all the information on the forum, the tech tips and videos. I’ve gotten copies of the R&O Manual and Franklins Indians, trying to learn as much as possible of the breed. I’ve been riding since 1954, but I have never owned an Indian. I’m looking for a project or parts; I would be happy with a bare bones, flat track type or parts and pieces toward one. I’m in central Texas so the closer, the better. Thanks so much for your consideration. ……………………….Will

Hi Will, welcome aboard. Have sent you an email with the contacts of a guy in Texas who may be able to help. If not, may be worth a visit just to do some research if hes up for it, he has a couple of scouts.

Let us know how the hunt goes.

There is a 1929 Indian 101 scout listed on eBay right now. It appears to mostly original with the exception of the head light which my be 1930. Looks like a GREAT 101 to restore.

Thanks for the response Steve. Sounds like you have some interesting projects for sale, unfortunately far beyond  my budget. The short frame '28 parts sounds like those just sold on Ebay, early January. Best regards..............
