The information provided for this 101 lacks any history of the MC except that the owner purchased it from the same auction house in August 2022. So sad that so many vintage bikes lose their history - perhaps because owners along the way did not keep records to pass on.
However, maybe BAT did not include the historical information known. The Bring a Trailer (BAT) description, as is typical of them, recites all the obvious features only (yes those are spoked wheels I think - haha). Obvious at least to anyone even remotely aware of a vintage Indian. This is why I vowed never again to list with BAT a MC I want to sell.
I tried them once for sale of my highly original 1948 HD Panhead. I took great pains to accurately and honestly write all about its past owners and the repairs and changes along its way in history. As well as describing all things that may be questionable as to originality. All information I researched (even contacting past owners) or documented during my ownership that I thought a buyer should know. But BAT ignored all of this, writing their own banal description of all the very obvious features anyone can plainly see in the auction photographs.
