Camshaft side play

    Dear all, some  motors have shims to limit camshaft side play. our 101 seem not to have . After to fitting the cam cover with the gasket on, it seems there s some side play on the cams. Anybody things this is a problem?

    Aim for .006-.010 endplay in your cam and you should be good. Really doesn't matter if you have shims or not as long as the clearance is there.

    Thank you. My point is that there are no shims in the parts schematics, and i ve heard some guys go for gaskets of different thickness
