I have a fender that appears to be the same as the fender on a 101 scout however it has a rubber bumper on the front near the leaf spring. Would this be correct for a 1930 101 scout? Also wondering what were the color options in 1930 for the 101 scout. Thanks, Dennis

The rubber bumper was used on late 1931 models originally, but for sure was retrofitted on older models as well - my early 1931 101 does not have it, my later 1931 does.

If you do not like to have it just close the holes and the fender looks correct for a stock 1930 model.

My May 1931 Indian 4 parts list as well as the one for Chiefs (so I asume it is the same for Scouts) has this bumper listed with parts number 36B492.

    Cheers, Florian

    hi denis ,
colour options for 1930 are on page 37f of shop manual . you should have one .
i will try to post correct colours here to later , but basically choices of solid colour indian red , indian blue , white , cream ,silver  , or indian red , blue or black   with coloured tank panels in cream or chinese red , also a napier green and cream , and grey drab with green pinstriping . also any other colour in solid , if you wished .

napier green apparently a good match for MG Brooklands Green from the seventies .
