If you have 37 inch bottom end , what's the top end !?? no point getting 45 wheels unless the top end is 45 . What's the engine number digits ? 45 has 7 head bolts , 37 - 6 .

Nope, shorter stroke on 37. So you will need 45 flywheels. Truett and Osborn make good ones, I use a Greer crankPin with them, and find I need to mill approx 0.090" off internal boss where  nuts sit to allow clearance for con rod shoulder. They are also 10lbs each, whereasdo originals are 8.5lbs. Many people prefer this sport scout weight, more torque, but I like the smoother, faster spin up of a lighter wheel. Easy to turn them down to 9lbs each, but balancing a little more work.Next pair I do will experiment further.

Tim, are the Original 101 flywheels for the 37" also 10 Lbs each? I would assume 37" might be lighter than 45"? If so, anyone know a weight for the original 37" flywheels?

Well, original 45 ones are 8.5lbs, ( at least until the first solid ones in mid 1931) will have to check 37 ones.  Good point.

Yes Tim, I would be interested to know for sure what the weight of original 37" flywheels are.

I have weighed an original 37" Flywheel & it weighs 8 Lb 2.2 Oz.

So, slightly lighter than the original 45" flywheel.
